English 20-1 blocks one and three

You will be having your essay unit exam on Thursday, September 21. It will be reading comprehension (multiple choice) and terminology matching.
You are to read essay assignment #2 "from If You Drop a Stone..." and answer the corresponding questions. This is due at the beginning of class tomorrow.
You will also be getting an Essay Terms Worksheet. You are to do this activity in preparation for your unit exam. It will be due on Thursday but you are to work on it if you have time today.

English 30-1 block two

We will mark "from Bruno Bettelheim: Three Ideas to Try in Madison, Minnesota" and then you will be given an editoral to read titled "Science class questions earn you hate, shame" and answer questions about. Be sure that you take the time to fully understand the terminology referred to in the questions as you are also having your essays marked on some of the same criteria.

Social Studies 33

We are going to talk about the importance of citizen involvement today and then go on to discuss the Swedish model of proportional representation. You will then pair up and examine the issue of taxes vs. more services.
