English 20-1 blocks one and three

We will start with your novel study and then you will work on the essay "Happiness." On a separate sheet of paper, I want you to write down your second choice and your reasons for your first choice. In addition, I expect you to read this essay ACTIVELY and, of course, use a dictionary and define words you don't know (and your terminology booklets).
Remember that this, and your essay with the evaluation sheet attached, are due on Monday. I will also be posting a schedule for individual meetings with me.

English 30-1 block three

We will start with your novel study and then you will work on the essay "from Bruno Bettelheim: Three ideas to try in Madison, Minnesota." On a separate sheet of paper, I want you to write down your second choice and your reasons for your first choice. In addition, I expect you to read this essay ACTIVELY and, of course, use a dictionary and define words you don't know (and your terminology booklets). Remember that this, and your essay with the evaluation sheet attached, are due on Monday. I will also be posting a schedule for individual meetings with me.

Social Studies 33 block four

You will watch the video Canadian and American Governments - a contrast.
We will discuss it and then I will hand out assignment A-8, which is based on pages 40-51 in your text. In addition to discussing the similarities and differences between the Canadian and American systems of democracy, I will also be giving you a handout of all the terms we have covered up to this point. For some of you, this will be a real eye-opener. When it comes to Social Studies, there really is never a night where you can say "I don't have homework."
