English 20-1 blocks one and three
Novel study day. Come in, sit down and be quietly reading by the second bell (15 minutes on this).
I was planning on lecturing on diction today, but as I am unable to be there and lecture (no voice) you will get this time to work on your essay. Keep in mind that this is a major assignment and I expect a piece of writing that has been outlined, written, revised and repaired (in other words... perfection would be good). If you are confused by anything on the layout or the introductory paragraph, look at Fit to Print for help... remember that you can also email me or phone me (you all have the numbers!).
English 30-1 block two
Novel study day. Come in, sit down and be quietly reading by the second bell (15 minutes on this).
You are to hand in your Stephen King essay questions (except question 14 of course - sorry about that!!!). Today, you are getting your first essay writing assignment. I expect that you will brainstorm for ideas, write an outline, and use your time wisely. As it stands, you will have today and possibly tomorrow (or Friday) to work on it. In other words, wise use of time is a must. I will be using this essay for discussion during the one-on-one interviews that I will hold with each one of you in the near future (in other words - you'll have to defend and explain what you've written, not just look for a mark).
Social Studies 33 block four
You will mark the chapter two assignment and then review what you have learned up to this point. I will then explain the political political spectrum and then you will do Assignment A-5 in discussion with a partner. Keep in mind that you have already done some work on continuums so this idea shouldn't be new, just the range of political philosophies. This will be due tomorrow
