English 20-1 Blocks One and Three

We will examine some common words (archaic and otherwise) found in Shakespeare's plays. You will have to study 21 of these for a quiz tomorrow. We will then discuss iambic pentameter. You will have to read a sonnet and break it down into its sets of five and then you will have to paraphrase it (line for line) into your own words. This is due tomorrow.

English 30-1 Block Two

We will go over the pictures for the poem "An Old Man's Winter Night". We will discuss the effectiveness of the visuals from the students to accurately depict the poem. Students will then be given the M.C. questions which go with this poem to answer.

Social Studies 33 Block Four

We will examine the Cold War from 1953-1960. (The H-Bomb, Eisenhower and Dulles, Brinkmanship, SEATO, The Hungarian Uprising, The Sputnik, NUclear Missiles, Krushchev and peaceful co-existence, the U-2 incident). We will then discuss The Berlin Wall, and The Cuban Missile Crisis. You will have to do worksheets B- 23, B-24, and B-25 for homework.
