English 20-1 Blocks One and Three
We will finish watching Lord of the Flies. You are having your unit test on the novel itself tomorrow. It will consist of 79 questions and some short answer. I will either hand out a copy of the short answer questions and answers (you worked on these after the first chapter) or I will put them in your portfolios. As long as you know the novel (and examine these answers as some of the short answer ones will come from them) you should be successful.
English 30-1 Block Two
You are writing both the Dolls House exam and the Modern Drama (PDE reading style) exam.
Social Studies 33 Block Four
We are going to examine the problems the UN has had when it comes to peacekeeping, as well as the economic work they have done. There are two readings for this (One says "Lesson Two" and one is Reading 26).
For Reading #26, ignore the questions presented. What you are going to do instead is label the map identifying where the following events took place:
1. The Korean War
2. The Suez Crisis
3. Cyprus UN peacekeeping mission
4. Gulf War
5. Operation Restore Hope
6. Rwanda conflict
7. Serbian conflict
The other activity you are to do is entitled "A Comparative Analysis of the League of Nations and the United Nations - Bringing About Collective Security" In this one, you are to create a chart. The instructions and reading needed are in your file if you were absent. Both, however, are due tomorrow.
