English 20-1 Blocks One and three

I will finish notes on Lord of the Flies. Remember that you have an in-class essay on your novel tomorrow. (you will learn about the author, the purpose of the novel, the allegories contained therien: religious, psychological, socialogical, Freudian terms: id, ego, superego). Your in-class essay on your independent novel is tomorrow so make sure you have read it!

English 30-1 Block two

We will watch the film Hamlelt up to the end of Act 5. Your in-class essay exam on your independent novel has been moved to Monday, November 13.

Social Studies 33

We will go over some test questions I'm going to hand out about Hitler's Rise to power. We will then discuss the "Great Man Theory" and the Policies and goals of the Third Reich (re-militarization of the Rhineland, racial superiority and purity, Lebensraum, union of all Germanic Peoples, Anschluss with Austria, the 1000 year German Reich, Social discipline, technological superiority, destruction of Bolshevism, ultra-nationalism) The pages in your text which correspond with this are pages 26-33.
